Moodlz is a fictional modular furniture brand that brings a playful, flexible, and vibrant approach to home design. To reflect its ethos, I designed an e-commerce platform featuring the Comfy-gurator, a Tetris-inspired furniture configurator that lets users visualize and personalize their sofa in an engaging way.

User Testing
Modular furniture opens up a world of possibilities, but this level of choice can quickly become overwhelming. For users new to modular systems, the array of configurations, shapes, and colors might feel complex and intimidating. Too many choices can lead to decision fatigue, especially when users are unsure about how individual pieces fit together or how they’ll look in their space. This creates a barrier between the user and the creative potential of modular furniture, preventing them from fully engaging with or appreciating the benefits of modularity.
An Explorative Playground
for Modular Furniture Configuration
To bridge this gap, moodlz offers an interactive, explorative playground within our web app and configurator. This digital platform is designed to guide users through the furniture configuration process in a way that’s intuitive, visual, and fun. Here, users can easily experiment with different layouts, colors, and configurations in real-time, without the pressure of making immediate decisions. The playground provides a “try before you buy” experience, where users can freely explore and adjust their designs until they feel confident and inspired. By turning configuration into a hands-on, guided journey, moodlz makes modularity approachable and enjoyable.
